I'm Single Again
Hey people,
CC and I called it quits on Tuesday. Well maybe I should say that I called it quits. Since I know ya'll nosey asses want to know why, i'll tell you.
While he was a nice guy, he just wasn't a good fit for me. He always complained that I was too "wild" and needed to calm down. I told him that he was too calm and collected (hence the name CC) and needed to pep up. I always wanted to do something and he always wanted to stay at home. I am a talker, and he is a thinker. He wanted to have sex every time we were together and I didn't. He wanted an immediate relationship and I wanted to take my time. These differences caused a few issues to arise of which I won't get into.
But all in all, I decided that I just didn't feel like "working on it" as so many couples try to do. He said that he understood and we will remain cool, but there will be no more dating.
Now I bet that now that I am single, no one will want to holla at me!!!!

You are always so upfront. I love it! You simply didn't want to work on it and you didn't. It could all be so simple, but we rather make it hard. Yeah, lets see where all those brothers are up to now. The irony of life
Please. You WILL get hollered at, sexy man!
you're still a catch, so I bet you will still get the eyes! Not to mention the numbers!
How dare you come here and join me on the single train! GET OFF Damnit!!! LoL. Naw sorry to hear it didn't work out ma dude. Ya gotta do whacha gotta do to be happy at the end of the day.
~Damnit!
Sorry to hear this. But I guess it's good you didn't try fooling yourself into thinking it would work, knowing that it wouldn't. You're brave...never settle! Luv!!

Relationships take work and compromising.
Being unwilling to do any of the above will only lead to loneliness. I think that's the problem with people these days. So unwilling to put the work in. So unwilling to communicate and work on what's not right. Nothing is ever a perfect fit. Couples that have been together for 20+ years? That's a result of hard work and a commitment to fight through the bullshit.
...but I'm no relationship counselor.
Well, at least you didn't drag it out when you weren't feeling it. I can appreciate that.
Aww... I was hoping for the best.
Norris, if it don't fit...don't force it..just relax and let it go. Just cause that's how you want it...doesn't mean it will be so...you did what was best for you...and I respect you for that.
right? only when you're attached that people holla at you from places you didn't know exist...
Now it would be completely rude of me to say I told you so, about you keeping some of those new guys as friends....so I will just say this....
Don't you remember when I said just in case it didn't work out with you and CC, that you shouldn't dismiss those guys who was hollering at you, when you was with CC was together. If you kept them as "friends" then it would be so much easier to move on to some new booty, right about now. If you did listen to me...then I say call them now and say "This tall chocolate rollercoaster is free, ready for a ride?"
Glad that you got out of a relationship that wasn't working 4 u
You did the best thing for the both of you. I admire that.
Recently your situation has happened to other good buddies of mine also.
Single again! LQQking for that soulmate. I'll tell you one thing.
When and if you do meet that dude, you will know it and you will not have to work on the relationship.
The relationship will work you. HOTT!
I'm glad you took a chance on CC, you never know when you will meet Mr. Wright. It didn't work out but that's ok. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Dating again should be fun, free of exxpectations, and the joy of someone else's company. Good luck.
You wild? And of course our nosey butts wanted to know. If the differences between you and this guy were that big - then it's probably for the best. You'll find the right one. :)
My brotha it truly saddens this man to hear that you and dude didn't go the long haul, but shit happens and relationships are such the conundrum so I will not try to figure out exactly the reason or event that made you throw your hand in, but I am certain it was for good reason.
I am the last person to talk about validating a relationship with another male, because those relationships never seem to work for me and I can totally understand it when you said "you didn't feel like working on it." Hey I am here to tell you relationships take a great deal of work more work than we are willing to put in such a relationship.
Brotha the day will come when that special man comes along just keep your options open, date and socialize because you can not meet Mister sitting on the sofa waiting for the phone to ring because they never call you gotta go get him. Be single and free and enjoy yourself, you will make someone a great Lil Stud Muffin. Seriously you appear to be not only intelligent, but the ultimate friend and you might even have a tad bit of freak in you. Hit the bars this weekend and meet yourself a fella. Damn CC.
I thought CC stood for Cancel Cancel ??
Isn't that how it normally goes - the minute you're w/someone you get plenty numbers. When you're single and itchin - no one wants to scratch. Hmmm - why does that happen, I wonder?
Don't give up, this coming from a relationship-less person of over 4 years. Just do you and the right kat will come along, but it sounds like it was a hella-fun. Keep ya head up!
THANK GAWD! Now back to a mean threesome you-Denzel and Jaime Foxx damnit. (I'll send you some jeans and cologne in the next episode:)
Okay umm I see you said y'all gone just be friends, but are y'll just friends or fuck buddies from time to time. No Strings attached lol
Dam judging by both your differences sbit thats me all in one basket sometimes I feel like being loud and wild and sometimes i just wanna lay up and chill.
Sorry you and MR. CC didnt work out.
I hear ya. Back on the prowl. You can go about this one of two ways. Look for the nearest rebound or take a minute to be single and enjoy the moment.
If the relationship is not a fit then you must QUIT.
Good on you for not leading him on. I'm currently seeing a man whom I wonder whether or not is good for me. I have a nice time with him, just not feelin that chemistry...But it is only the second date. So I'm going to give it a chance. If it continues on the path I'll just make a clean break.
That post inspired me to do just that!
No one can ever accuse you of not keeping it MOST real!
Ha, you said, "To hell with this," and kept it pushing.
I'm scared of you! hahaha
babyboi, don't sit here and tell me that you won't get hollered at. Damn, I'd holla at you!
By the way, why aren't I on your blogroll anymore? :-(
