Ain't This A Bitch
I finally get an interview (the first one of 3) for a job that I am interested in and now my present job decides that it's time to give me a raise and make it retroactive to April 21, 2007. The only thing is that I haven't gotten the damn raise yet and there is no word when it will actually come. If this raise is anything less than 6%, and I am offered the other position then it's adios to this damn job.
Fuck them hoes!
I was just thinking about something. This prospective job involves travel on Monday-Thursday. That means that if I get it, I will be off on the weekends. So, I promise myself that if I get it, I will apply to the GSU MBA weekend program! I Promise!

I have a similar situation waiting on a bonus right now. It gets tiresome being told you're getting a check, but then having to wait interminably. It would almost be better to just not be told until it happens.
well damn.
I hope you get what you want. Furthering your education will mean alot for your future.
I hope the new position comes through. It sounds like it'll give you a much needed travel break and hopefully enough time to tackle the weekend MBA program.
Good luck on the job situation. Deciding what to do can be quite challenging. I recently left state government for academia. I struggled with the decision to distraction. Then it finally occured to me. What did I request of the Creator? Duh!!!
Dude, what have you been seeking? What have you asked the universe for?
I took a pay cut, but am so much happier and the potential for more money instantly fell in line like a soldier. Sometimes you have to trust that the universe will take care of you (not saying you should make any uninformed decisions or pursue poorly conceived options).
I like the way you're lining up your future....that's how things really start jumpin' -- being able to see it. Loved GSU for undergrad.
Bright Moments!
Maybe your job got clued in onto the fact that you are shopping yourself around. Maybe an early reference check? Regardless, they need to tell you when it's coming. Good luck on your interviews!
Sounds like a win-win either way. I'm glad pa...keep your head up.
Go for what works best for your future. Money isn't everything
Sounds good and it sounds like a win/win situation either way you decide to go.
about time they recognized your value, albeit maybe a little too late. the other job sounds great with the possibility for your MBA as well. good luck!
